Cuts the Movie, 20 years in the making

Cuts the Movie supported by Mojo Hair

Mojo Hair* are giving a small helping hand by donating products to reward backers for Sarah Lewis and her 19 years-in-the-making project to make a feature length documentary (or film!) about the legendary Cuts hairdressers in Soho, London (originally in Kensington). The clientele of Cuts has ranged from the great (including David Bowie, Boy George, Goldie, Rupert Everett, Sean Penn, Gaultier, Steve McQueen, Sacha Baron Cohen and Fran Healy), the good, the not quite so good and the mere mortals (such as ourselves) and Sarah has spent years documenting the community and atmosphere that go to make this cutting-edge salon special.

As featured in The Guardian and The Observer, Sarah is now trying to raise £50,000 via crowd funding site phundee.com so she can finalise a rough-cut edit as well as other post-production essentials such as paying for the rights to archive footage and music clearance.

We have donated Mojo Hair* products to help reward backers to the project and you can find out more and donate on the phundee.com website here

Good luck Sarah – we can’t wait to see the final film, until then the trailer will have to do...
